The Fee Structure section lets you define what the customer pays for return labels – depending on the type of return and whether it’s a first-time or repeated return.
All fees are Market-specific and charged in the currency you’ve set for each Market.
💱 Market currency
At the top of the page, you select the currency for this Market.
Example: Choosing “Danish Kroner (DKK)” means all label prices in this Market will be handled in DKK.
🧾 First iteration returns
Here you set the return label fee for first-time returns:
Refund returnlabel fee – when the customer requests a refund
Exchange returnlabel fee – when the customer wants to swap
Giftcard returnlabel fee – when the customer chooses a store credit
You can charge different amounts depending on the type – e.g., 49 DKK for refunds and 0 DKK for exchanges.
🔁 Multiple iteration returns
If a return has already been processed once, you can charge a separate fee for any subsequent return:
Helps prevent abuse of free returns
Gives you better control over cost per return case
You can charge different amounts depending on the type – e.g., 49 DKK for refunds and 0 DKK for exchanges.
🔁 Outbound shipping in exchanges
For exchanges, you can always set a Return Label Fee, but this only covers the inbound shipping cost.
If you want the customer to also pay for the outbound shipping (when sending the replacement product), you need to include that cost in the Return Label Fee.
For example, if the Return Label Fee is 90 DKK,
→ That might cover 45 DKK for the return label and 45 DKK for the outbound shipment.
🧠 How Returnflows selects the label fee
If a return includes multiple actions (e.g., a mix of exchange and refund), Returnflows will automatically apply the lowest available fee among the selected options.
Example: If “Exchange” is set to 0 and “Refund” to 49, the customer will be charged 0.
💡 Tip
Want to offer free exchanges? Set Exchange returnlabel fee to 0
Want to encourage gift card refunds? Keep that fee low or at zero
