🔁 Actions – Choose which return options your customers can use

The Actions section lets you decide what return options to offer customers – like exchanges or gift cards.

These settings are market-specific, allowing different configurations per region.


🔧 Main options

Inside the Actions section, you’ll see two toggles:

  • Exchanges – allows the customer to exchange the product

  • Giftcards – allows the customer to receive a gift card instead of a refund

You can toggle each one on or off independently.


🔄 Exchanges – Swap products

When “Exchanges” is enabled, you’ll be able to configure two detailed options:

➤ Swaps

Allows size exchanges.
The “Choose different size” button will only appear if the returned product has variants in Shopify.

➤ Instant Exchange

Controls when the exchange is released to the customer.

  • Enabled: Exchange is processed as soon as the customer drops off the return

  • Disabled: Exchange is processed only once the return is received and approved


🎁 Giftcards – Refund as store credit

When Giftcards are enabled, you can configure how they are issued:

➤ Giftcard Type

Choose the system (e.g., Shopify Giftcard)

➤ Expiry

Set how long the gift card is valid (e.g., 36 months)

➤ Giftcard Bonus

Optionally add a percentage bonus to increase the gift card value (e.g., +10%)

This is a great incentive to encourage customers to choose gift cards over refunds.


📌 Note

  • “Swaps” and “Instant Exchange” only apply when Exchanges are enabled

  • Giftcard bonuses only apply if the Giftcard option is active
