With Markets, you can tailor your return policies based on the customerโ€™s shipping country โ€“ adjusting return types, label prices, and refund rules for different regions.

๐Ÿ“ฆ What is a Market?

A Market defines how returns should behave for a given shipping destination.
You can create:

  • A single Market for the EU

  • Regional Markets (e.g., DACH, Nordics)

  • Country-specific Markets (e.g., Denmark)

โš™๏ธ Managing your Markets

Go to:
โ€‹Settings โ†’ Markets

Youโ€™ll see a list of all your current Markets (like Denmark, Nordics, etc.).
You can create, edit, or set a Default Market.

The list is shown as a clean overview with flags โ€“ click any Market to manage settings.

๐Ÿ“ What can be configured per Market?

Inside each Market, you can:

  • Enable/disable Exchanges and Gift cards

  • Set fees (label pricing)

  • Control discount matching

  • Enable/disable outgoing shipping refund

All of this is found under the Returns section for the selected Market.

๐ŸŒ Language layer is separate

Even if the customer uses an English-language portal, their return settings will still be based on the shipping address.

This ensures the correct Market settings (fees, actions, rules) are applied no matter what language the portal is shown in.

๐Ÿšš Shipping Options are separate from Markets

Shipping options must be configured per country and are managed independently of Markets.

If no shipping option exists for a country, returns cannot be created, even if the country is part of a Market.

Shipping is set up under:
โ€‹Settings โ†’ Shipping

โญ Default Market

The first Market you create becomes your Default Market.
You can change it from the Market settings using โ€œMore options โ†’ Make Defaultโ€.

The Default Market is used as fallback, but only if the country has a valid shipping option.

โ— Global-only settings

These settings are global and cannot be set per Market:

  • Return Windows

  • Return Reasons

  • Special Return Periods
